steps to milesWhile you calculate
Step counts, distances, goals and calibration values are calculated in your browser. This app does not upload those inputs to a calculator server or connect to a fitness tracker. You do not need an account. The site includes no advertising or analytics scripts.
Profiles you choose to save
Pressing Save in “My step profiles” stores the profile name and its step length in local storage on that browser. Up to 20 profiles can be saved. This is an optional convenience, with no account or cloud synchronization.
Choose a profile and press “Delete selected” to remove it, or use “Clear all saved profiles.” Clearing this site’s browser data also erases the profiles. The calculator’s Reset button resets the current inputs; it does not delete your saved profiles. Profiles remain available locally until you remove them or your browser clears its storage. The app does not add advertising or analytics cookies.
Loading the website
The pages are hosted through Cloudflare. Delivering them can involve your IP address, browser information and technical request details, such as the requested page and time. Cloudflare may use such data to operate and secure its service; see its privacy policy. Browser-based calculations do not mean the hosting service receives no technical data.
If you email me
Support mail sent to contact@stepstomiles.app is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to Gmail. The providers process your email address, any supplied sender name, message text and attachments. I use the correspondence to respond, investigate the issue and improve the tool. Google’s privacy policy describes its handling of information within its services.
Please avoid sending health records or other sensitive details that are not needed to describe a calculator issue. I do not sell your messages or use them for advertising. Support correspondence may remain while needed for the request, related maintenance, site protection or applicable obligations. Email services can retain data or backups according to their own practices, so no universal deletion deadline is stated here.
Control over information
You decide whether to save a profile, download a chart, print a goal card or send a message. Copies and exports are handled by the device or service you choose. Following an external source link takes you to that provider’s website and privacy practices.
To ask about privacy or request access, correction or deletion of information in support correspondence, write to contact@stepstomiles.app. I may ask for details needed to verify and locate the request. Any rights and limits depend on applicable law; I cannot remotely inspect or erase profiles stored only in your browser.
